Wingo is gearing up for one of the most demanding periods in the aviation calendar: the mid-year holiday season. Between June 14 and August 18, the airline estimates it will transport nearly 655,000 passengers on 3,908 flights, representing a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This growth is accompanied by an operational strategy focused on strengthening key routes and ensuring connectivity with competitive fares.
During these 66 days of high demand, the airline will make 726,640 seats available, marking a 3% increase in capacity compared to the previous year. The company expects to achieve an average load factor of 90% across its entire route network, a figure that highlights both operational efficiency and strong market demand.
Boosting Domestic Routes: Focus on Top Destinations
Wingo has added 97 extra flights to meet rising demand. Of these, 59 flights will reinforce its domestic operations in Colombia, with particular attention to routes that traditionally experience high occupancy during peak seasons.

The connections with the greatest capacity increases are:
- San Andres — Barranquilla
- San Andres — Cartagena
- Barranquilla — Bogota
- Bogota — Cali
- Bogota — Cartagena
These destinations are especially popular among Colombian travelers, whether for tourism, family visits, or connections to other parts of the country.
International Operations: More Sun and Beach
Wingo’s international strategy is equally robust. The airline will add 38 extra flights to its international routes, with a special focus on high-demand tourist destinations such as Punta Cana, Panama, Curacao, and Costa Rica.
In total, Wingo will offer 431,334 seats on domestic routes and 295,306 on international routes during this period.
“At Wingo, we are prepared for another high-demand season with a solid operation focused on providing greater connectivity at low costs. With more flights, more seats, and an efficient network, we remain committed to tourism and air mobility in the region,” said Jorge Jimenez, Vice President of Commercial and Planning for the airline.
The statement underscores Wingo’s commitment to the sustainable growth of regional tourism and the need for a robust and affordable air travel offering, especially during key times of the year when mobility surges.
