Alaska Airlines is strengthening its leadership on the U.S. West Coast with the announcement of seven new nonstop routes set to operate between October 2025 and January 2026. This expansion links California with the Pacific Northwest through flights targeting both leisure and business travelers in key, fast-growing cities.
“These new additions enhance our ability to connect passengers between growing markets for both leisure and business travel,” explained Kirsten Armine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airlines.
New Routes from Burbank: A Direct Bridge to Oregon and Washington
Hollywood Burbank Airport takes center stage with three new connections:
Burbank — Eugene (launch: October 26, 2025): This will be the fifth nonstop destination from Eugene, Oregon.
Burbank — Pasco (October 26, 2025): Alaska Airlines will be the only carrier connecting Pasco with two Los Angeles-area airports: Burbank and LAX.
Burbank — Redmond (October 26, 2025): This route makes Burbank the sixth destination from Redmond, where Alaska is already the leading operator.

Beyond California: New Winter Connections and Inland Expansion
From San Diego to Idaho’s Ski Slopes
San Diego — Sun Valley (launch: December 18, 2025): A new addition to Alaska Airlines’ portfolio of ski destinations. With this route, Alaska and Hawaiian will offer 45 nonstop destinations from San Diego—more than any other airline.
Linking the Desert with California Wine Country
Palm Springs — Santa Rosa (October 26, 2025): A seasonal winter service, operating five times a week, connecting two iconic California tourist destinations. Alaska is the largest airline at both airports and offers perks like the Wine Flies Free program.
Boosting Boise and Spokane
Boise — Ontario (January 7, 2026): A new nonstop flight to another airport in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Alaska now offers the most destinations from Boise to Southern California (including LAX, Burbank, Orange County, and Ontario).
Spokane — Orange County (January 7, 2026): This route serves the largest city previously without direct service from Spokane, providing a new and long-awaited option for travelers between Eastern Washington and the Los Angeles region.
