LATAM Airlines is set to achieve a new milestone in July: it will operate over 25,000 flights in Brazil during the peak season, establishing the largest air network in its history in the country. This unprecedented growth is driven by sustained demand, the launch of new routes, and increased frequencies to strategic destinations.
The company expects to transport approximately 4.3 million passengers during the month, solidifying its position as Brazil’s most connected airline, with 101 direct routes to 55 domestic and 24 international destinations. This operational volume reinforces projections of a 7% to 9% growth in domestic seat capacity (ASK) for 2025.
Strong First Half Fuels Expansion
The record-breaking network in July reflects a dynamic first half of the year, during which LATAM launched 12 new routes, including new services, reactivations, and seasonal operations. This expansion increased seat capacity by 12% compared to the same period in 2024, strengthening the airline’s presence in regional, tourist, and international markets.
New Regional Connections: Improved Accessibility for Key Cities
LATAM has focused on expanding regional connectivity, facilitating access to and from major economic and tourist hubs:
- Rio Branco–Guarulhos: Connecting Acre with the company’s primary national hub.
- Ribeirão Preto–Congonhas: Linking the interior of São Paulo with the country’s financial capital.
- Joinville–Congonhas: A key route between northern Santa Catarina and São Paulo.
- Pelotas–Guarulhos: Enhancing access from southern Rio Grande do Sul to the rest of Brazil.

Tourism Boost: Seasonal Routes Take Center Stage
LATAM is also reinforcing its strategy for high-demand tourist destinations:
- Guarulhos–Fernando de Noronha: A direct route to one of Brazil’s most coveted paradises.
- Recife–Fernando de Noronha: An emergency connection operated between March and April.
- Congonhas–Aracaju: A seasonal route ideal for July vacations.
International Expansion: More Flights and Destinations Abroad
The growth of the international network is also noteworthy:
- Fortaleza–Lisbon: A seasonal route extended until March 2026.
- Galeão–Buenos Aires/Ezeiza: Promoting tourism between Brazil and Argentina.
- Guarulhos–Bariloche: Catering to the increase in travelers to Patagonia during winter.
- Porto Alegre–Lima and Santiago: Resumed after the reopening of Porto Alegre Airport, key for connections with Peru and Chile.
Guarulhos: The Heart of Growth
São Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport remains the core of LATAM’s operations. For July, the airline has scheduled over 6,700 flights at this hub, a nearly 12% increase compared to the same month last year. Today, Guarulhos connects to 49 domestic and 24 international destinations.
In 2024, LATAM accounted for 49% of all operations at the airport and remains the largest passenger carrier at Guarulhos. In the first half of 2025, it operated 34,800 flights and transported over 6.2 million passengers from this airport.
