WestJet and Kenya Airways have entered into an interline agreement that enhances air connectivity between North America and Africa. This new partnership allows passengers from both airlines to book a single ticket for connected itineraries, access multiple cities, and enjoy seamless baggage handling from origin to final destination. For WestJet travelers, this means direct entry to Nairobi and access to 35 destinations across the African continent. For Kenya Airways passengers, the opportunity to reach key Canadian cities like Calgary, Halifax, St. John’s, and Toronto with just one stop becomes a reality.

The key to this new agreement lies in strategic connection points that facilitate transcontinental travel. WestJet passengers can access Kenya Airways’ network through five international hubs: Paris, Amsterdam, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, and New York (JFK). From any of these cities, travelers can board a direct flight to Nairobi, with the convenience of a single check-in and baggage checked through to their final destination.

John Weatherill, WestJet’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the strategic value of this new partnership: “Our latest collaboration with Kenya Airways reaffirms our commitment to expanding WestJet’s global network, offering improved access and more options for our guests to reach Africa.”
