Avianca has announced the addition of HBO Max and Formula 1 TV content to its in-flight entertainment system, Avianca on air. This strategic upgrade aims to provide a more comprehensive, engaging, and connected flight experience from the moment passengers board.
Starting in July, passengers can access a robust catalog at no additional cost, featuring over 350 options, including movies, award-winning series, documentaries, children’s content, and the thrilling competitions of Formula 1. This offering is available on passengers’ personal devices aboard Airbus A320 aircraft and on the integrated screens of Boeing 787s.

“The connection begins onboard, and we’ve taken a step forward in enhancing our flight experience by adding titles from HBO Max and Formula 1 TV, among others. This allows our customers to enjoy top-tier entertainment while we connect them to their destination, improving their experience from takeoff to landing,” said Katherine Stradaioli, Vice President of Customer Delivery at Avianca.
The inclusion of these partnerships reinforces Avianca’s commitment to a modern and personalized in-flight experience. With Avianca on air, the airline strengthens an offering that not only entertains but also fosters loyalty, enabling passengers to stay connected with their favorite content throughout the flight.
