Delta Air Lines announced the launch of two new nonstop routes from Boston to Europe: Madrid, starting May 16, and Nice, beginning May 17. With these additions, travelers from Massachusetts will have direct access to the vibrant energy of Spain’s capital and the Mediterranean charm of the French Riviera.

Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning, highlighted: “As a leading airline in Boston, Delta plays a vital role in connecting the city to the world. By adding nonstop service to Madrid and Nice, we are strengthening our European network and maintaining our commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience from start to finish.”

More Options to Explore Europe

The new daily connection to Madrid and the route to Nice, available three times per week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—are complemented by convenient onward connections to other cities across the continent. In total, Delta will serve 12 European destinations from Boston, solidifying its presence in the region.

Furthermore, the airline will move up the start of its seasonal operations to Barcelona and Milan. The daily flight to the Catalan city will begin on May 7, while service to the Lombard capital will start on May 16 with four weekly frequencies.

Sustained Growth in Boston

Over the past two decades, Delta has nearly tripled its service from Boston, growing from 25 to approximately 70 destinations worldwide. Currently, together with its partners, it connects the city to four continents with around 20 daily international flights, cementing the airport’s status as a key hub within its global network.

A Premium Experience on the Ground and in the Air

This growth is not limited to connectivity. Delta has invested in the customer experience at Logan Airport with exclusive spaces:

  • Delta One Lounge: A 6,700-square-foot lounge that combines high-end dining, personalized service, and a design inspired by Boston’s maritime tradition.
  • Delta Sky Club: A nearly 21,000-square-foot lounge featuring soundproof work booths, shower suites, and a varied offering of seating and culinary options.

In the air, the Madrid and Nice routes will be operated by the Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, featuring four distinct travel experiences. Delta One customers will enjoy lie-flat seats, chef-curated menus, and exclusive Missoni amenities. All cabins will feature in-flight entertainment with Delta Studio, and complimentary, high-speed Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members, powered by T-Mobile.
