EGYPTAIR has announced it will relocate its operations to the new Terminal One at New York-JFK Airport starting in 2026. This move represents a significant boost to the airline’s growth strategy in the US market.
The airline will operate its daily non-stop flights from this state-of-the-art terminal, connecting travelers to Egypt and its iconic destinations, from the Pyramids of Giza to the temples of Luxor.
Project Redefining JFK
The new Terminal One is part of an ambitious $19 billion transformation driven by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The plan includes:
- Construction of two new terminals.
- Expansion and modernization of two other existing terminals.
- Creation of a ground transportation center.
- A complete redesign of the airport’s access road network.

This project aims to turn JFK into a world-class gateway to the United States, with facilities that prioritize efficiency, comfort, and global connectivity.
“We are very pleased to join the New Terminal One at JFK, which represents an important step in our growth strategy. For us, it is not just about transporting passengers, but about connecting cultures, families, and experiences. As Egypt’s national airline, we look forward to welcoming more travelers to discover the history, beauty, and hospitality of our country through our direct flights to and from New York,” commented Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR.
An Expanding Airline Community
EGYPTAIR will join a diverse group of airlines that have confirmed operations at this new state-of-the-art terminal. As a member of Star Alliance, the Egyptian carrier becomes the sixth airline from the global network to commit to Terminal One, solidifying its position within one of the most significant airport projects of the decade.
