Mexicana received its third Embraer E195-E2 aircraft this Saturday, part of an order for 20 units, as announced by President Claudia Sheinbaum on her social media accounts. With this addition, the airline continues to strengthen its expansion plan in the domestic market.
New Jet’s Route Before Arriving at AIFA
The aircraft took off on Friday from São José dos Campos, Brazil, and made a stopover in Manaus. From the capital of the state of Amazonas, it departed on Saturday morning heading to Mexico, where it finally landed at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

It is worth recalling that on July 1st, Mexicana received its first Embraer E195-E2 and began a fleet renewal that will continue until 2027.
Start of Commercial Operations
The commercial debut of this model is scheduled for Monday, August 25th, on the route connecting AIFA with Tulum. With this inaugural flight, the company aims to strengthen its presence in one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean.
