WestJet has taken a significant step in its partnership with Aeromexico by announcing an expansion of their codeshare agreement. This will allow passengers of both airlines to access a broader and more diverse network of destinations, all with the convenience of a single booking. Effective today, this agreement is a key move to strengthen connectivity between Canada, Mexico, and other points across the continent.
Connecting More Destinations Through a Single Booking
Starting now, WestJet passengers traveling from or to its Canadian network, including its global hub in Calgary, will have access to over 30 destinations in Mexico. This agreement not only expands travel options but also enhances the customer experience with seamless connections, hassle-free baggage transfers, and the ability to earn WestJet Rewards points throughout the entire journey.
Why This Expansion Matters for WestJet and Aeromexico
According to John Weatherill, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of WestJet, this partnership expansion demonstrates the airline’s commitment to the Mexican market, as WestJet is the leading Canadian airline operating in Mexico.
