Emirates Skywards Celebrates 25 Years with Prizes and a Commemorative Aircraft

Emirates Skywards, the loyalty program of Emirates and flydubai, is turning 25 and is celebrating with a global rollout of surprises, prizes, and an exclusive design on one of its aircraft. With over 37 million members across 190 countries, the company is marking its anniversary with a campaign running from September 25th to October 20th, offering historic rewards.

25 Days of Exclusive Prizes and Experiences

For nearly a month, members can participate in unique initiatives, including:

  • Grand Draw of 25 Million Skywards Miles: Participants can win prizes of 100,000, 250,000, and up to 1 million miles. Registration is the only requirement, and participants must accumulate miles during the campaign period on Emirates, flydubai flights, or with partner companies.

Mileage Bonuses:

  • 50% extra miles when booking with Emirates and flydubai.
  • 25% additional miles on bookings with partner airlines, purchases, dining, or stays in the UAE via Skywards Everyday, Skywards Miles Mall, hotels, credit cards, and lifestyle partners.
  • Up to 50% more miles in the early promotion for “Buying or Gifting” miles.
  • Activations at Dubai International (DXB): From October 1st to 5th at Terminal 3 and October 8th to 9th at Terminal 2, passengers can take part in interactive contests, access VIP lounges for free, obtain Dubai Duty Free vouchers, and enjoy ice cream from themed Skywards trucks.
  • “Spot the Tag” Game: Special tags on luggage at DXB will reward passengers with lounge access, branded products, and additional miles.
  • Prizes for the Most Loyal Members: Tier upgrades, cabin upgrades, and exclusive gifts.

As part of the celebrations, Emirates will launch a special “25 years” livery on one of its A380 aircraft, featuring a distinctive silver design that will operate on key international routes.

Since its launch in the year 2000, the program’s growth has been exponential:

  • More than 78,000 new sign-ups every week.
  • A network of over 100 partners, including more than 1,400 destinations, 30,000 hotels, 20 credit cards, 37 points conversion programs, 7,200 retail and lifestyle brands, and 5 car rental companies across 50,000 locations.
  • More than 120,000 daily transactions generating miles.
  • Nearly 400 billion miles redeemed for flights and upgrades.
  • Over 800 Classic Rewards tickets used every day on Emirates.

One cabin upgrade every minute, and access to exclusive events like the FA Cup, US Open, Wimbledon, Roland Garros, and concerts at the Coca-Cola Arena.

International Recognition

The program offers four membership tiers—Blue, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—with privileges tailored to each traveler. Its success has earned it accolades such as the “Best Global Airline Loyalty Program” award at the International Loyalty Awards 2025, reaffirming its leadership in the industry.
