LATAM Airlines was once again distinguished as “South America’s Leading Airline 2025” at the World Travel Awards (WTA), marking ten consecutive years of receiving this accolade. Passengers valued both the onboard experience and the innovations implemented over the past year.
Furthermore, the company won the award for “Best Lounge in the Region,” thanks to its exclusive space at Santiago de Chile Airport. This lounge, considered the largest in South America, has become a benchmark for comfort, design, and services.
Innovation and Comfort at the Heart of the Experience
Among the aspects most highlighted by users are the new Business Suites, introduced in April. Inspired by Brazilian and Andean landscapes, these cabins feature individual doors for privacy, full-flat seats, 18-inch HD screens, and USB charging ports, representing a leap forward in comfort and customization.
Connectivity was also key: 90% of the narrow-body aircraft now offer onboard Wi-Fi, expanding entertainment and productivity options during travel.

Another valued element is the LATAM Signature Check-in, available for Black Signature and Black customers at airports in Santiago, Lima, and São Paulo. In the latter, at both Congonhas and Guarulhos, the airline maintains a partnership with Audi to facilitate remote boarding.
International Recognition and Competitiveness
The World Travel Awards, in their 32nd edition, recognize the best players in the tourism and air transport industry. The airline category is one of the most competitive, as the winners are chosen by passengers and industry professionals through a voting platform based on real travel experiences.
Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers for the group, highlighted the significance of this achievement:
“Receiving this recognition from the World Travel Awards fills us with pride and shows that we are on the right path by putting our customers at the center of everything we do. This achievement is only possible thanks to the trust of those who fly with LATAM and the dedication of our employees, who make every journey special. We will continue to evolve to always offer the best experience to those who choose to travel with us.”
A Winning Streak in 2025
The WTA triumph adds to a series of awards won by the company this year:
- The highest “Five-Star Global Airline” rating at the APEX awards, for the fourth consecutive year.
- Recognition as “Best Airline in South America” at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
- Four international awards at the Pax International Readership Awards, which value excellence in the travel experience.
With these accolades, LATAM reaffirms its regional leadership and its commitment to continuously improving every stage of its passengers’ experience.
