Icelandair Launches Direct Flights Between Reykjavik and Istanbul

Icelandair inaugurated its new direct route between Reykjavik and Istanbul this Friday. The airline will operate between two and three weekly flights, connecting the Icelandic capital with the Turkish metropolis in approximately five hours and 30 minutes.

Enhanced Partnership with Turkish Airlines

The launch of this route also marks an important step in expanding the codeshare agreement between Icelandair and Turkish Airlines, initially established in the summer of 2023. Thanks to this cooperation, passengers now have access to smoother connections between Iceland and multiple destinations in Asia and the Middle East.

The synergies between both airlines reduce overall travel times and facilitate access to strategic markets, both for tourists and business travelers.
