Dominican airline Arajet inaugurated its new route between Punta Cana and Orlando Sanford International Airport this Sunday. With this launch, the airline becomes the only carrier with active international operations at this US airport.

The new service will operate three times per week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, allowing travelers from Central Florida to connect through Punta Cana to six major Latin American destinations: Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, Cordoba, and Lima.

“A Historic Moment for Arajet”

During the inaugural ceremony, Manuel Luna, Chief Communications and External Affairs Officer of Arajet, highlighted the strategic reach of this new connection.

“Launching this route at Orlando Sanford is a historic moment that fills us with pride, as we continue connecting the continent with the best value in the market and a world-class service,” Luna stated.

He added that Florida has established itself as one of Arajet’s strongest markets in the United States, and that this new operation reinforces the success achieved in Miami, offering more options and convenience to Latino communities across the state.

Florida, a Key Pillar in Expansion Strategy

The state of Florida continues to be a cornerstone of Arajet’s growth strategy in the United States, driven by sustained growth in demand for international travel. Since the launch of its Miami route in early 2025, the airline has experienced record demand in this market.

Currently, Arajet operates flights to Miami, New York, Orlando, and San Juan, and in November it will add Chicago and Boston to its network. This move strengthens its presence in key US markets and expands its reach to more destinations across the hemisphere.
