Iberia and Pegasus Airlines have sealed a new codeshare agreement that boosts connectivity between Spain, Turkey, and Latin America. This alliance will allow both airlines to expand their destination networks and offer more travel options to their passengers, thereby strengthening their presence in key markets.
New Destinations and Greater Comfort for Passengers
Thanks to this agreement, Iberia customers will be able to access new destinations within Turkey via flights operated by Pegasus Airlines. From Madrid, Iberia will connect to Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport), from where travelers can continue on to seven Turkish cities: Izmir, Kayseri/Cappadocia, Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum, and Adana.
For its part, Pegasus Airlines will integrate its code on flights operated by Iberia from Madrid to multiple destinations in Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. These include eleven domestic routes: Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, A Coruña, Asturias, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Vigo, Malaga, Seville, and Tenerife Norte; in addition to Lisbon and São Paulo, the latter made possible thanks to the connection via the flight between Istanbul and the Spanish capital.

Efficient Connections at Madrid-Barajas Airport
The reservation system between both airlines is designed to ensure a smooth experience. Connections are made between Terminal 4, where Iberia operates, and Terminal 1, the base for Pegasus Airlines, with connection times calculated automatically. Passengers also have access to a free bus service linking both terminals, facilitating transfers between codeshare flights.
María Jesús López Solás, Commercial, Network Development and Alliances Director of Iberia, highlighted that “this agreement with Pegasus Airlines reinforces Iberia’s commitment to offering more and better options to our customers, connecting Spain and Latin America with Turkey, thus expanding our codeshare destination network. An agreement that will also benefit Pegasus customers who will be able to reach several of the destinations we operate in a more comfortable way.”
For his part, Emre Pekesen, Director of Sales and Network Planning at Pegasus Airlines, stated: “We are delighted to sign this new agreement with Iberia and offer our passengers better connections in Turkey, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. This is a very special moment for our airlines, and we look forward to maintaining a lasting collaborative relationship.”
