Qatar Airways has announced the expansion of its destination network in the United States and South America thanks to new codeshare agreements with its International Airlines Group (IAG) partners, Aer Lingus and LEVEL. Through this alliance, the Qatari airline offers its passengers access to 18 additional routes, strengthening connectivity between the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.

More Options from Dublin with Aer Lingus

Following the successful start of the agreement with Aer Lingus in 2024, Qatar Airways has expanded the collaboration to include the Irish airline’s flights from Dublin Airport to eleven U.S. cities. These include Boston, Bradley International (Connecticut), Cleveland, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Nashville, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, and soon, Las Vegas.

Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, Susanne Carberry, highlighted that travelers will benefit from the Preclearance service in Dublin, which allows passengers to clear U.S. immigration before departing Ireland and arrive in the United States as domestic passengers. She also noted that the airline has strengthened its North American network with new routes operated by the modern Airbus A321XLR.

Barcelona, a Bridge with the Americas Thanks to LEVEL

The airline LEVEL has reactivated its codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. The flights included in the cooperation connect to Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, and soon, Santiago de Chile.

LEVEL’s Chief Commercial and Network Officer, Lucia Adrover, emphasized that this move strengthens long-haul connectivity from Barcelona and solidifies the company’s role as a link between the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas, thanks to its new-generation airline model.

Benefits for Frequent Travelers

Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will be able to earn Avios on flights operated by Aer Lingus and LEVEL under this agreement. These points can be redeemed for tickets, exclusive experiences, or lifestyle rewards, thereby expanding the loyalty options for the most frequent customers.

A Strategic Move in the European Market

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, stated that this expansion reinforces the company’s global offering: “We want to give passengers more options to travel to their preferred destinations. With Aer Lingus and LEVEL, we complement our alliances within IAG and enhance global connectivity with 18 new routes in the United States and South America.”

This announcement adds to the existing agreements with British Airways, Iberia, and Vueling, consolidating Qatar Airways’ position in the European market and reinforcing its global network of over 170 destinations via Hamad International Airport in Doha.
