The Star Alliance lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has once again been recognized as the best lounge in North America at the 2025 World Travel Awards, marking its sixth consecutive win.
The announcement was made on October 4, 2025, during the Caribbean and The Americas Gala, held on the picturesque island of Saint Lucia, which brought together leading figures from the tourism and aviation industries.
Star Alliance CEO, Theo Panagiotoulias, celebrated the achievement by highlighting the alliance’s commitment to travelers: “Our goal is to deliver seamless and connected journeys, and our lounges are an essential part of that experience. This recognition reflects the trust of passengers and industry experts, as well as the continued excellence of our LAX lounge. We are proud to see it distinguished year after year.”
Panagiotoulias also underscored the role of the team and member airlines: “This success is the result of the efforts of a dedicated team, which maintains impeccable operations every single day, and the collaboration of our member airlines, which have been key to this achievement.”

Luxury and Comfort, Elevated to Another Level

Its outdoor terrace, featuring fire pits, a water wall, and panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, creates a unique atmosphere that evolves throughout the day: relaxing during the daylight hours and vibrant as night falls.
The space offers areas designed for resting, working, or enjoying a meal, providing travelers with a comfort experience that goes beyond the standard of typical airport lounges.
A Weighty Recognition in the Industry
Founded in 1993, the World Travel Awards are considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the tourism, aviation, and hospitality sectors.
