Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has unveiled its summer 2026 schedule, featuring an enhanced range of destinations and increased frequencies on high-demand routes. The airline will add two new European cities to its network: Poznań, in Poland, and Rijeka, on Croatia’s Adriatic coast. Both destinations will be served from Zurich.

On March 29, 2026, SWISS will launch its inaugural flights to Poznań, Poland’s fifth-largest city. There will be three weekly frequencies—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays—catering to both business and leisure travelers. Situated on the banks of the Warta River, the city is known for its university, historic old town, and active trade fair scene, making it an attractive alternative outside of more traditional tourist circuits.

During the months of July and August, the airline will offer scheduled flights to Rijeka, with two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays. Located on the Kvarner Gulf, this port city is notable for its beaches, crystal-clear waters, and Mediterranean atmosphere, establishing itself as a highly appealing summer destination.

“We want to offer every customer the travel experience that best suits their life and needs, whether it’s a weekend getaway, a family visit, or a transatlantic trip,” said Heike Birlenbach, Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS. “With the new destinations of Poznań and Rijeka, and the increased frequencies to Tokyo and other European routes, we are expanding our network where we see strong demand,” she added.

Reinforcement of European Routes and Increased Capacity from Zurich and Geneva

In response to growing demand, SWISS will increase frequencies to several leisure and business destinations within Europe. From Zurich, routes to Alicante, Valencia, Manchester, Montpellier, Tirana, Budapest, and Venice will be reinforced. The latter two will reach 28 and 29 weekly flights, respectively.

From Geneva, the airline will focus its offerings on Greece and Portugal, two of the most popular destinations for travelers seeking sun, culture, and a Mediterranean atmosphere.

Direct Flights for 2026 FIFA World Cup Fans

The SWISS summer schedule will also cater to football fans with direct connections to several host cities for the FIFA 2026 World Cup in the United States and Canada. The airline will operate daily or multiple daily flights to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Miami. Furthermore, Toronto, also a host city, will be served with five weekly flights starting April 26.

“I am delighted that, with our established destinations in the US and Canada, we can take many fans directly to their World Cup matches,” Birlenbach stated.

Increased Frequencies to Asia and Global Expansion

SWISS will also strengthen its connectivity with the Asia-Pacific region. The Zurich-Tokyo route will offer daily flights in April, May, and October, while the rest of the summer will maintain five weekly frequencies.

In total, the Swiss airline will serve 112 destinations from Zurich and Geneva during the summer of 2026. From Zurich, it will operate 70 European and 25 intercontinental destinations, while from Geneva, it will offer flights to New York and 29 short-haul routes.

The SWISS summer schedule will run from March 29 to October 24, 2026.
