Canadian carrier Porter Airlines launched its direct service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this Friday, marking a new chapter in the expansion of its network to sunny destinations.
Frequencies and New Connections Starting in December
The seasonal service begins with three weekly round-trip flights and will increase to five starting December 14. Furthermore, in that same month, non-stop flights from Hamilton and Ottawa to Puerto Vallarta will be launched, expanding options for those looking to escape the Canadian winter.
Onboard Experience: Uncompromising Comfort
The flights are operated with the modern Embraer E195-E2, a 132-seat aircraft with a two-by-two configuration, guaranteeing that no passenger has to occupy a middle seat. Onboard, all travelers enjoy complimentary, fast WiFi, beer and wine served in glassware, and a selection of premium Canadian snacks, all included as part of the Porter elevated economy experience.

Fare Options: PorterReserve and PorterClassic
Passengers can customize their experience by choosing between two fare types:
- PorterReserve: Includes priority check-in, extra legroom, high-quality pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals.
- PorterClassic: Allows travelers to add individual benefits at the time of booking, adapting to each passenger’s preferences.
Winter Network and Strategic Alliance
This inaugural flight is part of Porter Airlines’ winter schedule, which encompasses destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Florida, Arizona, and California. The network is complemented by flights from its strategic partner Air Transat, offering greater variety in dates, destinations, and booking flexibility.
VIPorter Loyalty Program
Members of the VIPorter program can redeem points to travel to sunny destinations with both Porter and Air Transat, starting from 10,000 points per one-way flight.
