Dominican airline Arajet announced this Monday the launch of its new direct route between Punta Cana and the city of Mendoza in Argentina. The route will begin operations on May 16, 2026, with three weekly frequencies on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
With this announcement, Mendoza becomes the fourth Argentine city where Arajet establishes direct flights, expanding the South American country’s air connectivity and enriching the airline’s network of over 28 destinations and 15 countries.
“From Mendoza, passengers will be able to connect to more than 10 destinations in our extensive network, including Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Lima, Mexico City, Kingston, among others,” stated Mercedes Martínez, Vice President of Corporate Alliances for the airline.
For his part, the Governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, stated that “With this new flight, Mendoza gains efficient and accessible international connectivity. We are bringing Mendozans closer to the heart of the Americas, but we are also opening our city for people to come and get to know us and enjoy the charms of our nature, world-class vineyards, and top-tier hotels.”
