The airline LEVEL has confirmed the launch of a new direct connection between the Catalan capital and Lima, Peru. The route will begin operating on June 3, 2026, and will mark a significant milestone for the intercontinental connectivity of Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
With this launch, the company will become the only airline offering direct, non-stop flights between the two cities, strengthening its position as the leading long-haul airline at Barcelona’s airport.
Boosting Connectivity Between Europe and South America
The addition of Barcelona-Lima responds to the growing demand for travel between Spain and Peru, for both tourism and business reasons, as well as trips linked to family and personal visits on both sides of the Atlantic.
LEVEL highlights that this new operation reinforces its commitment to developing Barcelona’s intercontinental connectivity, expanding the long-haul options available from the Catalan city and strengthening ties between Europe and Latin America.
Frequencies, Schedules, and Operational Design
The new route will initially have three weekly frequencies, scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The schedules have been specifically designed to facilitate connections with other flights in Europe and the Americas, allowing for a smoother travel experience for passengers coming from various points on both continents.
This approach aims to offer an agile and comfortable product, aligned with the needs of those using Barcelona as an intercontinental connection hub.

LEVEL’s Statements on the New Route
Lucía Adrover, Chief Commercial & Network Officer of LEVEL, emphasized the strategic importance of this announcement:
“For LEVEL, the new route between Barcelona and Lima is a further step in our goal of establishing ourselves as the leading long-haul airline in Barcelona, to continue contributing to the development of intercontinental connectivity from the Catalan city, always offering an efficient, innovative, and customer-oriented service.”
Adrover added that this connection goes beyond air transport:
“Today we celebrate this new connection between Barcelona and Lima, which is much more than an air route: it is a bridge that opens opportunities for economic and tourism dynamism. We are convinced that this new connectivity will drive mutual growth: Barcelona, with its innovative and Mediterranean spirit, and Lima, with its cultural, historical, and gastronomic richness.”
Ticket Sales and Launch Price
Flights between Barcelona and Lima are now available for purchase through LEVEL’s official website and via travel agencies. The airline has announced a special launch price starting at 319 euros per one-way trip, subject to availability.
Route Boost Thanks to Partners
The new operation will be supported by LEVEL’s partnership network, allowing for a more comprehensive travel proposal. Thanks to this connectivity, passengers will be able to access 17 additional destinations within Peru, connecting through Lima via Iberia’s channels.
In the reverse direction, those traveling from Peru will be able to connect in Barcelona with Vueling flights, accessing over 75 destinations in Spain, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Fleet and Onboard Experience
The Barcelona-Lima route will be operated with LEVEL’s standard fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which have a capacity for 311 people. These planes feature a two-cabin configuration: Premium Economy and Economy.
The Premium Economy cabin offers a distinct space with greater comfort, including more legroom, footrests, and a superior recline angle, among other elements designed to enhance the in-flight experience.
For all passengers, the airline offers individual screens with over 400 entertainment content options, such as movies, series, podcasts, documentaries, children’s programming, and mindfulness options. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi service for messaging is included throughout the journey.
Fly your Way: LEVEL’s Value Proposition
The operation is integrated into the Fly your Way value proposition, based on a fully personalized onboard experience. Among its key elements is the pre-order platform, which allows passengers to configure their trip in advance, selecting different gastronomic options from the menu or adding comfort items according to their preferences.
With the opening of the direct route between Barcelona and Lima, LEVEL takes another step in its long-haul growth strategy, expanding its intercontinental network and reinforcing Barcelona’s role as a key connection point between Europe and the Americas.
