Rutaca Airlines announced this Tuesday that it will begin flights between Barquisimeto and Panama City on December 20. The announcement marks an important step in improving international air connectivity from the west-central region of Venezuela.
The company will operate two weekly services, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It will use Boeing 737 or MD-80 aircraft for the route.

Flights will depart from Jacinto Lara Airport at 11:30 and arrive in Panama at 12:20 local time. The return from the Panamanian capital is scheduled for 13:50, with arrival in Barquisimeto at 16:40 local time. These schedules offer passengers the possibility of connecting to other destinations across the continent and the Caribbean.
The opening of this route provides an additional alternative for those needing to travel from Barquisimeto to international markets.
