The aviation market between Venezuela and Colombia continues to show signs of steady improvement. Avior Airlines has officially announced the return of its route to Medellín, a strategic move that not only expands its international network but also optimizes connectivity with Colombia’s second-most important aviation hub.
Starting March 3, 2026, the Venezuelan carrier will reactivate its services from Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS) to José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), which serves the city of Medellín. This new operation integrates into Avior’s current network structure, complementing the six weekly frequencies the company already operates to Bogotá.
Operational Details and Fleet
The route will operate twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) utilizing Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
Flight Schedule:
- Caracas – Medellín: Departure at 07:00, arrival at 07:30.
- Medellín – Caracas: Departure at 08:30, arrival at 11:00.
Commercial Strategy
From a commercial standpoint, the route debuts with a competitive pricing structure. The “Light Fare” serves as the entry point, starting at 230 USD (round trip), which includes one carry-on bag weighing up to 8 kg.
Tickets are already available through the airline’s standard sales channels.
