JetBlue announced a new phase of expansion in South Florida, solidifying its position as the largest airline at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The company will introduce two year-round nonstop routes to Orlando and Dallas/Fort Worth, while also adding more frequencies on one of its most in-demand markets: New York-LaGuardia.
This move builds on the sustained growth the airline has developed in Florida and reinforces the role of Fort Lauderdale as one of the key hubs within its network.
New Nonstop Routes from Fort Lauderdale
The airline will begin twice-daily flights between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando starting May 21. Concurrently, daily service to Dallas will begin on March 12 and will be maintained permanently, after initially being announced as an exclusive operation for the Spring Break period.
According to Dave Jehn, Vice President of Network Planning and Alliances at JetBlue, these additions reflect the momentum achieved in Florida and the continued investment in Fort Lauderdale as a key gateway within the company’s network. The executive highlighted that the connection between focus cities and the expansion of established routes give customers more reasons to choose the airline for travel within the state and to other destinations.
Fort Lauderdale, Central Hub of Growth in Florida
This announcement adds to a significant expansion in Florida, with Fort Lauderdale as the main nucleus. During 2025, JetBlue expanded its operation to 10 destinations within the state and will launch an eleventh, Destin/Fort Walton Beach, in March.
Furthermore, the airline announced its largest-ever schedule in Fort Lauderdale, reaching 113 daily departures and 46 nonstop destinations in December. This offering includes new services to Latin America, the Caribbean, and key U.S. cities.

As part of this regional investment, JetBlue also expanded the availability of its premium Mint® experience in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. This is complemented by the announcement of the opening of a dedicated Mint cabin crew base in Fort Lauderdale later this year.
Promotional Fares to Celebrate the Expansion
To accompany the launch of the new services, the airline will offer one-way promotional fares between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale starting at $49. These will be available for a limited time through jetblue.com.
