Air Europa is approaching the upcoming summer season with a strategic expansion of its short and medium-haul network. For the first time, the airline will incorporate Bologna and Tangier into its summer programming. Additionally, it will resume operations to Tunis, Marrakech, Athens, and Alghero, strengthening its presence in European and North African markets during the period of highest demand.
The operation, which will be concentrated during the peak summer months, will result in more than 700 round-trip flights and an offer of nearly 130,000 new seats. All of these will be operated using the Boeing 737 fleet, primarily the MAX version.
New Destinations: Bologna and Tangier Join the Network
Bologna: Three Weekly Frequencies During Peak Season The company will establish a new direct connection from Madrid-Barajas Airport to Bologna during July and August. The route will feature three weekly frequencies, reinforcing connectivity between Spain and Italy during the peak tourist activity period.
Tangier: Progressive Growth Up to Five Frequencies Operations to Tangier will begin on June 16 with three weekly flights. As the season progresses, the frequency will increase to five flights per week in August, before concluding in mid-September.

Return of Four Key Summer Destinations
In addition to the new additions, Air Europa is bringing back several seasonal favorites to its schedule:
- Tunis: This route will operate from late May to late September. It will start with three weekly frequencies, increasing to five flights per week in July and August to match the peak tourist flow.
- Marrakech: Returning in early April with two weekly frequencies. Offerings will grow to five weekly flights in July and August, then scale back to two before closing operations in mid-October. This schedule makes Marrakech one of the summer destinations with the longest operational window.
- Alghero (Sardinia): Operations will resume on July 3 and run through August 30, with three weekly frequencies.
- Athens: From mid-June to mid-September, Athens will feature a daily flight for nearly the entire period. It stands as one of the highest-density routes in the summer program.

This deployment reinforces the company’s strategy in high-demand seasonal markets. By utilizing a homogeneous fleet for the European and North African segments, Air Europa optimizes both capacity and operational efficiency.
