Discover Airlines is set to significantly boost its capacity to North Africa, adding two new Moroccan destinations to its global network. This expansion, scheduled to take effect in late October 2026, marks the leisure carrier’s largest historical offering in this market.
Strengthening Connectivity from Frankfurt and Munich
The Lufthansa Group airline has designed a growth strategy centered on its two primary German hubs. Starting with the commencement of the Winter 2026/27 season and running through late March 2027, the following routes will be introduced:
- Frankfurt – Agadir: Two weekly frequencies operating on Mondays and Fridays.
- Munich – Fez: A weekly Sunday connection, establishing the only direct link between the Bavarian capital and the imperial city.
The flight schedules are programmed with morning departures and midday arrivals, while return legs are slated to touch down in Germany during the evening hours.

Strategic Alliance with Moroccan National Tourist Office
This growth is not incidental; rather, it responds to sustained demand for connectivity to the North African nation. Recently, during the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) Berlin trade fair, the airline signed an agreement to broaden its partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office.
With these additions, Discover Airlines’ total Moroccan offering will reach up to 16 weekly connections across three key destinations:
- Marrakesh: A destination served since 2022, which will feature up to 13 weekly flights in the future.
- Agadir: A coastal tourism hub on the Atlantic, ideal for water sports and excursions to the Souss-Massa National Park or the Atlas Mountains.
- Fez: A cultural epicenter renowned for its ancient city, designated as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Discover Airlines’ commitment reinforces Morocco’s profile as a short-to-medium haul destination for sun and culture within the European market. By providing the sole direct connection from Munich to Fez, the carrier aims to capture both the traditional leisure segment and travelers interested in the historic architecture and craftsmanship found within the more than 9,000 alleys of the Fez medina.
