The aerial connectivity between Brazil and Venezuela has recovered one of its fundamental components. This Sunday, GOL Linhas Aéreas resumed its non-stop operations between São Paulo and Caracas, ending a suspension that had been in place since last November due to diplomatic tensions between the United States and the Caribbean nation.
Operational Details
The airline has designed an itinerary to facilitate regional connections through its main hub in Guarulhos (GRU). The route will feature four weekly frequencies, scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
To serve this route, GOL is deploying the Boeing 737 MAX 8, a next-generation aircraft configured with 176 seats. The established flight schedules for the route are as follows:
São Paulo (GRU) – Caracas (CCS)
- Departure: 17:05
- Arrival: 22:10
Caracas (CCS) – São Paulo (GRU)
- Departure: 23:50
- Arrival: 07:00 (following day)
The restoration of this direct link is significant for the South American market. During the suspension period, travelers were forced to use significantly longer itineraries through third countries or alternative hubs. With this return, a key travel option is normalized, optimizing transit times between both nations.
