JetBlue has officially commenced operations at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), connecting Florida’s Emerald Coast with its primary Northeast hubs. This expansion marks the airline’s 11th destination within the state.
Strategic Expansion in the Florida Panhandle
On Thursday, JetBlue operated its inaugural flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Destin-Fort Walton Beach.
According to Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, this launch streamlines travel between the Northeast and one of Florida’s most sought-after beach destinations, while providing local residents with seamless connections to the company’s global network.

Regular operations will be conducted on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays according to the following schedule:

Spring Break Capacity Increase
Given the region’s popularity for leisure tourism, JetBlue has scheduled a specific capacity increase for the Spring Break season:
- Period: April 17 to April 26, 2026.
- Frequency: Two daily nonstop flights between Boston and Destin-Fort Walton Beach.
- Operating Days: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Onboard Experience and Global Connectivity
Passengers traveling on these new routes will have access to JetBlue’s signature service, which includes fast, free, and unlimited Fly-Fi, seatback entertainment, and complimentary brand-name snacks.
Furthermore, travelers from the Emerald Coast now have connection options via JetBlue’s hubs to destinations across Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. To stimulate initial demand, the airline has introduced introductory fares starting at $69 one-way, available for a limited time.
