LATAM Airlines has announced the resumption of its non-stop service between Santiago, Chile, and Quito, Ecuador, bolstering regional connectivity starting in October 2026. This strategic operation aims to optimize travel times and stimulate both tourism and business exchange within South America.
The airline will offer four weekly flights, providing an annual capacity of approximately 35,000 seats. To service this route, the company will deploy aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family.

This reactivation not only enhances passenger comfort but also creates a significant competitive advantage regarding travel duration. It is estimated that direct flights will allow travelers to reduce their journey times by 1.5 to 3 hours compared to options requiring intermediate stopovers.
Kamal Hadad, Commercial Director of LATAM Airlines Group, emphasized that the route allows the company to “expand and improve alternatives for our passengers while strengthening markets with high growth potential.”
The importance of this route lies in its ability to feed traffic into the airline’s hub in Santiago. From the Chilean capital, passengers arriving from Ecuador will be able to connect to more than 50 domestic and international destinations.
