LATAM Airlines Group continues to solidify its growth and modernization strategy, projecting a total fleet of 410 aircraft by 2026.
Strategic Expansion: On Track for 410 Aircraft in 2026
By the end of 2025, the group reached a total of 371 aircraft following the delivery of 26 new units during the year, positioning itself among the 12 airlines with the largest fleets in the world. All of these models are next-generation aircraft, allowing the company to maintain one of the most modern and competitive fleets in the region.
The roadmap for the coming years includes several significant milestones:
- 2026 Projection: The arrival of 41 new aircraft is expected, bringing the total fleet to 410 units.
- Embraer Integration: In 2026, the group will operate its first aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer, aimed at strengthening the domestic network in Brazil and providing greater operational flexibility.
- 2027 Growth: The company plans to add an additional 27 aircraft, highlighted by the arrival of the first Airbus A321XLR. This model will be key to extending the range on medium-haul routes.

2030 Goal: An Efficient and Sustainable Fleet
Looking toward the end of the decade, LATAM plans a profound transformation of its assets. The strategy includes the incorporation of more than 130 new aircraft from various manufacturers.
Toward Decarbonization in the Sector
By 2030, the group projects that more than 50% of its fleet—representing at least 200 aircraft—will consist of next-generation models. According to manufacturer data, these aircraft offer critical advantages compared to previous models:
- A reduction of between 20% and 25% in CO2 emissions.
- Significant optimization in fuel consumption.
Sebastian Acuto, Director of Fleet and Projects at LATAM Airlines Group, emphasized that this growth responds both to the need for greater regional and international connectivity and to the conviction of a more efficient future.
“Every new aircraft we incorporate will feature next-generation technology that will allow us to reduce our emissions, enabling us to make concrete progress on our roadmap toward net-zero emissions by 2050,” Acuto stated.
With these investments, LATAM not only reinforces its leadership in capacity and reach but also establishes a clear path toward a more sustainable operation, balancing commercial expansion with environmental responsibility for the decades to come.
