This authorization enables the airline to transport sports delegations and tour groups, tapping into the surging demand fueled by global events such as the FIFA World Cup.
Scope of Authorization and Operational Strategy
Despite securing its Foreign Air Carrier Permit, the airline clarified that it currently has no plans to establish scheduled commercial services between the United Kingdom and the United States. The strategy will remain strictly focused on the non-scheduled or charter segment.

Wizz Air has identified specific niches for these transatlantic operations:

With the approval of this permit—following a process initiated in January—Wizz Air UK is now positioned to capture ancillary revenue through special long-haul operations.
