The airline Binter has announced the restoration of its direct route between the Canary Islands and Vitoria-Gasteiz starting next June 15th. This reactivation strengthens the company’s presence in northern Spain, complementing its current offerings in the Basque Country, where it also operates flights to San Sebastián.
Schedule and Frequencies for the Summer Season
For the upcoming summer season, the carrier has designed an operation focused on connectivity with Gran Canaria Airport (LPA). The schedule will be structured under the following conditions:
- Schedules from the Canary Islands: Departure at 14:25 hours.
- Schedules from Vitoria: Departure at 19:05 hours.
- Frequencies: Two weekly flights, operating every Monday and Thursday.
This planning seeks to optimize passenger flow between both regions, allowing for efficient integration with the airline’s flight network.

Inter-Island Connectivity at No Additional Cost
One of the competitive advantages that Binter maintains on this route is its policy of free connecting flights. Passengers can travel to or from any island in the archipelago for the same price, thanks to the 220 daily inter-island sectors operated by the carrier in the Canaries. This technical facility effectively turns Gran Canaria into a hub for travelers coming from Álava.
In-Flight Experience: Embraer Fleet and Premium Services
The route will be operated with Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, a single-aisle jet model that stands out for being the quietest, cleanest, and most efficient in its category. The cabin configuration offers specific comfort benefits:
- Seating Configuration: Greater pitch between rows and the absence of a middle seat, guaranteeing increased passenger comfort.
- In-flight Service: Includes a complimentary gourmet snack for all customers.
- Baggage: The fare ensures that carry-on luggage always travels in the cabin.
Complementary Products for the Traveler
In addition to regular scheduled flights, the airline offers secondary services such as Discover (Binter’s stopover program), which allows passengers to visit two islands on the same trip with a minimal surcharge, and the AirPass Explorer, designed for multiple inter-island hops for those holding a domestic or international round-trip ticket.
Tickets for this route are already available through all of the company’s official sales channels.
