Copa Airlines reaffirms its strategic position in the Venezuelan market by offering the most extensive coverage to the United States from five key cities across the country. Through the Hub of the Americas in Panama, the airline facilitates passenger connectivity to 17 U.S. destinations via streamlined and efficient connections.

Network Expansion and Regional Connectivity

The airline has designed an operation that not only covers major metropolitan centers but also decentralizes passenger departures from Venezuela. Currently, travelers can board from:

  • Caracas, Maracaibo, and Valencia.
  • Barquisimeto (joining the network starting in May).
  • Barcelona (with operations scheduled to begin in June).

This infrastructure allows users to access a robust network in the United States, strategically distributed as follows:

  • Florida (4 destinations): Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, and Orlando.
  • Northern Region (6 destinations): New York, Washington D.C., Raleigh–Durham, Baltimore, Chicago, and Boston.
  • West Coast (4 destinations): Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.
  • Other Strategic Markets: Austin, Denver, and Atlanta.

Operational Efficiency and Transit Benefits

One of Copa Airlines’ competitive advantages is the optimization of travel times through its connection center in Panama. Venezuelan passengers can complete their transits without the need for immigration or customs procedures.

Roberto Pulido, General Manager of Copa Airlines in Venezuela, highlighted that maintaining the broadest network from the country is part of the company’s commitment to offering alternatives based on punctuality, efficiency, and service.

Panama Stopover Program

Travelers can enhance their itineraries through the exclusive Panama Stopover benefit. This program allows passengers to:

  • Enjoy a complimentary stopover in Panama for up to 15 days using the same ticket.
  • Access discounts across a network of partners, including hotels, restaurants, and tourist activities.
  • Enter Panama without requiring a Panamanian visa, provided they hold a U.S. visa or a European Community passport.

Historical Commitment to the Venezuelan Market

With 29 years of service in Venezuela, the airline continues to strengthen commercial, tourism, and family ties with the rest of the continent. The incorporation of new cities into its schedule underscores the company’s intent to further expand the country’s connectivity with the principal cities of the hemisphere.
