  • Multi-device: Customers will be able to connect smartphones, laptops, and tablets simultaneously.
  • Enhanced Entertainment: Capability for high-definition video streaming, downloading content, and participating in online gaming with users on the ground.
  • Productivity and Communication: Full access for remote work, online shopping, watching live sports, and staying in touch with family via messaging or brief audio calls.
  • Complimentary Access: The service will be offered at no additional cost to members of the Flying Club, the airline’s loyalty program.

Leadership in the UK Aviation Sector

In July 2025, Virgin Atlantic became the first UK airline to commit to fleet-wide free Starlink connectivity. This initiative seeks not only to improve passenger comfort but to redefine industry standards through an end-to-end digitally connected cabin.

Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer (CCO) of Virgin Atlantic, emphasized that this advancement is a fundamental part of the company’s focus on creating a “brilliantly connected” experience. According to the executive, the partnership with Starlink allows the airline to set a new benchmark for connectivity, giving customers the freedom to spend their time on board exactly as they choose—whether working or staying close to loved ones.

The transition toward a 100% equipped fleet by 2027 ensures the airline will deliver on its promise to provide an inflight connection quality identical to what users enjoy on the ground, consolidating its vision of a modern, fully integrated digital cabin.
