Air Transat has officially launched its direct operations between Toronto and Tirana, establishing the first-ever air link between Canada and Albania. This exclusive route aims to capitalize on the growing demand for connectivity to the Western Balkans during the 2026 summer season.

A Strategic Milestone for the Transatlantic Market

The inaugural flight of this route took off Thursday night, marking a milestone in the region’s connectivity. Air Transat thus becomes the first and only airline to offer nonstop service between North America and Tirana.

Operational Details and Inflight Experience with the Airbus A330-200

The exclusive service between Toronto and Tirana will operate on a weekly frequency every Thursday, remaining active until October 8, 2026.

To ensure the highest standards of comfort on long-haul sectors, the airline operates the route utilizing Airbus A330-200 aircraft. This widebody model is equipped with features geared toward optimizing the passenger experience:
