Air Europa To Connect Madrid Direct With Barranquilla Starting In December

Air Europa and the mayor of Barranquilla have announced the launch of a non-stop route connecting Madrid with the capital of Colombia’s Atlántico department for the first time, starting December 18, 2026.

“With this new connection, Barranquilla will not only be closer to Madrid, but to all of Europe and the rest of the world. We continue to position our city as a strategic destination for tourism, business, and investment,” said Mayor Alejandro Char.

The route will operate three times weekly—on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays—utilizing Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft configured for 296 passengers.

Scheduled Flight Timings:

  • Madrid – Barranquilla: Departure from the Spanish capital at 15:25, with scheduled arrival in Barranquilla at 19:35.
  • Barranquilla – Madrid: Departure from the Colombian city at 21:35, landing in Madrid at 12:40 the following day.

With the launch of these services, Air Europa reinforces a strategic commitment aimed at strengthening commercial and tourism ties between Colombia and Spain, substantially expanding direct connectivity between the Colombian Caribbean and the European continent.
