Boeing recorded firm orders and conversions on Tuesday across the 787 Dreamliner, 737 MAX, and 777X Freighter families, reaffirming strong global demand for fuel-efficient widebody and single-aisle aircraft.
AerCap Bolsters Global Leadership with 15 New Boeing 787 Dreamliners
AerCap announced a new firm order for 15 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. With this acquisition, the lessor’s portfolio grows to approximately 140 Dreamliner family aircraft, solidifying its position as the world’s largest customer and owner of the type in the leasing sector.
The commercial agreement includes substitution rights for the Boeing 787-10, providing AerCap with the operational flexibility to scale up to the family’s largest variant based on the network requirements of its airline customers.

Luxair Expands Single-Aisle Fleet with the Boeing 737-10
In the single-aisle market, Luxembourg flag carrier Luxair converted two previous options into firm orders for the Boeing 737-10, while securing additional options for two more units of the type.

Luxair’s Projected Fleet Breakdown
Following its initial commitment in 2024 and this recent conversion of options, Luxair’s total projected Boeing 737 MAX family fleet will consist of 12 aircraft:
- 8 Boeing 737-8 aircraft
- 4 Boeing 737-10 aircraft
MSC Air Cargo Adds 5 Boeing 777-8 Freighters to Drive Logistics Growth
In the air freight sector, MSC Air Cargo was revealed as the customer behind a previously unidentified order for five Boeing 777-8 Freighters. This order marks the operator’s first direct commitment to the new 777X family variant.
The 777-8 Freighter is designed to be the industry’s most efficient and capable twin-engine freighter, leveraging the technological advancements of the 777X platform and the proven operational features of the current Boeing 777 Freighter.
