In a decisive move to solidify its position across high-growth markets in the Asia-Pacific region, LOT Polish Airlines has announced a new year-round, scheduled intercontinental service connecting Warsaw and Hanoi, Vietnam, launching March 31, 2027.

The route launch comes in response to sustained growth in travel demand toward the Asian continent, driven by both corporate and leisure traffic. Alongside the upcoming launch of flights to Bangkok, the addition of Hanoi comprehensively strengthens the carrier’s long-haul network, complementing its existing long-haul services to Tokyo, Seoul, and New Delhi.

Frequencies and Flight Schedule

The route will operate three times weekly non-stop using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

  • Warsaw – Hanoi: Operating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, departing at 15:15 (local Polish time). Flight duration: 10 hours and 25 minutes.
  • Hanoi – Warsaw: Operating Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing at 08:35 (local Vietnam time). Flight duration: 11 hours and 20 minutes.

Strategic Importance of the Vietnamese Market

Vietnam’s commercial aviation market stands out as one of Asia’s most dynamic hubs for economic and tourism growth. The new direct link facilitates trade and commerce between Poland and Vietnam while catering to rising demand from travelers drawn to the Southeast Asian nation’s rich cultural heritage and iconic destinations, ranging from the capital to Ha Long Bay.

“Vietnam is one of the most dynamically developing markets in Asia, and its importance to Polish business and tourism continues to grow steadily. It is a country of exceptional cultural and natural heritage that captivates through its authenticity, exquisite cuisine, and diverse landscapes—from the vibrant city of Hanoi to picturesque Ha Long Bay. The launch of the Hanoi route reflects our ambition to further strengthen LOT Polish Airlines’ presence in Asia and to continue developing our Warsaw hub as a primary gateway between Central and Eastern Europe and some of the world’s most promising destinations.”

With this addition, Hanoi becomes the fifth long-haul Asian destination on the carrier’s route map. The expansion reinforces Warsaw’s strategic position as Central and Eastern Europe’s premier transfer hub for passenger flows connecting to and from Asia.
