LOT Polish Airlines is set to strengthen its position in the Pomeranian region with the launch of a year-round direct service between Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport and Paris-Orly Airport, scheduled to commence operations on April 5, 2027.
The service will operate four weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays:
- Gdansk – Paris-Orly: Departure 17:00
- Paris-Orly – Gdansk: Departure 20:20
Strategic Network Adjustment and Historical Context
The launch of the Paris-Orly service is part of a regional network restructuring by the Polish carrier. To make way for the new route to the French capital, LOT will suspend its existing connection between Gdansk and Oslo, reallocating capacity to a market with stronger mixed demand (business and leisure).
Furthermore, the launch carries historical significance for the airline: 2026–2027 marks the 80th anniversary of the inaugural Warsaw–Paris route, launched on July 4, 1946. The addition of Gdansk represents LOT’s first direct regional link to Paris outside its primary hub.
“Paris is one of the key economic and business hubs in Europe, as well as one of the most prominent tourist destinations. The launch of a direct flight from Gdansk strengthens LOT Polish Airlines’ offering in the regional market and opens up new travel opportunities between the Pomeranian region and France. In the year marking the 80th anniversary of the original Warsaw–Paris route, we are writing a new chapter by adding Gdansk.”

Competitive Advantages of Paris-Orly Airport
The choice of Paris-Orly over the primary hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle addresses logistical and urban connectivity factors:
- Geographical Location: Situated 13 kilometers south of central Paris, Orly offers more direct access to both the city center and the southern districts of the French capital.
- Intermodal Connectivity: The airport is integrated into the Paris public transit network via Metro Line 14, enabling a 25-to-30-minute connection between the terminal and downtown Paris, with key transfers at stations such as Gare de Lyon and Châtelet-Les Halles.
- Surface Transportation: Infrastructure options are further complemented by the tramway network (Line T7) and multiple bus lines.
Ticket sales for the Gdansk – Paris-Orly route are now open across all LOT Polish Airlines distribution channels.
