Aeroméxico Expands Caribbean Network with Direct Flights to Nassau and Montego Bay
Aeroméxico is set to launch two new non-stop routes from Mexico City to Nassau and Montego Bay in March 2027. This addition marks a precedent in the Mexican aviation market by establishing the first regular direct flights to The Bahamas and Jamaica.
Both connections will depart from the carrier’s primary hub at Mexico City International Airport.
Commenting on the announcement, Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeroméxico, noted: “The addition of Jamaica and The Bahamas to our Caribbean route network reflects our ongoing commitment to offering our customers more travel options to world-class destinations. These new routes will provide passengers with direct access to an extraordinary tourism, culinary, and cultural offering, while strengthening our connectivity from Mexico City.”
Schedules, Frequencies, and Launch Dates
Each route will feature a schedule of three weekly frequencies. Flights to Montego Bay will commence on March 18, 2027, while service to Nassau will begin the following day, on March 19, 2027.
Mexico City – Nassau, The Bahamas
- Operating days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Departure (Mexico City): 09:10 | Arrival (Nassau): 15:00
- Departure (Nassau): 16:15 | Arrival (Mexico City): 18:30
Mexico City – Montego Bay, Jamaica
- Operating days: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Departure (Mexico City): 09:20 | Arrival (Montego Bay): 14:00
- Departure (Montego Bay): 15:15 | Arrival (Mexico City): 18:20

Boeing 737 MAX 8 Operations
Both services will be operated using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft configured to seat 166 passengers.
On board, passengers will enjoy:
- Personal seatback screens and individual in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems.
- Complimentary beverage and snack service.
- Seamless onward connection to the airline’s domestic network, encompassing more than 40 destinations throughout Mexican territory.
Regional Consolidation in the Caribbean Market
With the integration of Nassau and Montego Bay, Aeroméxico complements its operational footprint in the region, where it already serves Havana (Cuba), as well as Santo Domingo and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).
Through this scheduled rollout, the carrier projects offering more than 4,000 weekly seats distributed across 27 weekly frequencies to the Caribbean by Easter 2027.
Currently, both routes remain subject to final regulatory approval, while tickets are already on sale through the airline’s official commercial channels.
