JetBlue Opens Bookings for BlueFirst: New Domestic First Class Debuts in December With Fares Starting at $249

JetBlue has formally opened reservations for BlueFirst, its new short- and medium-haul premium cabin available on more than 30 select routes, marking a strategic milestone within its JetForward transformation plan to compete directly in the premium travel segment.

Operational Rollout and Initial Route Network

The inaugural commercial flight featuring BlueFirst will operate on December 8, connecting Boston with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The selection of this city pair carries historical significance for the carrier: Fort Lauderdale was the very first destination in JetBlue’s route network and will now serve as the launchpad for this new cabin product.

A few days following the inaugural flight, the service will expand to select frequencies between Fort Lauderdale and New York’s LaGuardia Airport, with a phased rollout adding further destinations over the subsequent weeks and months.

As retrofits progress across non-Mint aircraft throughout the fleet, BlueFirst will encompass multiple markets across the carrier’s network, including destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. The product is slated for deployment on routes where the Mint premium cabin is not offered, complementing the airline’s portfolio on stages where corporate and premium leisure demand warrants an elevated standard.

To coincide with the commercial launch, the carrier published limited-time promotional introductory fares for travel beginning December 8:

“We designed BlueFirst to offer a more accessible first-class experience that pairs the thoughtful hospitality and service customers expect from JetBlue with exceptional value and comfort. We’re excited for travelers to start planning BlueFirst into their travel,” said Joanna Geraghty, Chief Executive Officer of JetBlue. “This is just the beginning. As we bring BlueFirst to more aircraft, customers will see it become available across more routes and markets in our network, giving them even more opportunities to choose an elevated experience with JetBlue.”
