Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer delivered a total of 130 aircraft in 2020, of which 44 were commercial and 86 executive aircraft -56 light and 30 large-, representing a drop of almost 35% compared to 2019, when 198 aircraft were delivered.

According to the 2020 balance sheet, marked by the impact of the Covid-19 crisis, the manufacturer’s firm order backlog amounted to $14.4 billion (about 11.9 billion euros approximately) as of December 31.
As for the fourth quarter of the year, the company delivered 71 aircraft, of which 28 were commercial and 43 executive – 23 light and 20 large – a decrease of 10 aircraft compared to the same quarter of 2019.

“Although deliveries accelerated during the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the previous three quarters, they were strongly affected, especially in commercial aviation, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the manufacturer said in the year’s balance sheet.
During the fourth quarter, Embraer Executive Jets delivered the first of the Praetor 600 fleet to Flexjet, the launch customer for the Praetor fleet.
In commercial aviation, Belarusian national carrier Belavia took delivery of its first E195-E2 aircraft, while Congo Airways placed a firm order for two E195-E2 aircraft, in addition to its order for two smaller E190-E2 aircraft.
Meanwhile, Embraer Defense and Security delivered the fourth C-390 Millennium medium multi-mission aircraft to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in the fourth quarter and delivered the first two EMB 145 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) modernized aircraft, known as E-99, to the FAB.
