Travelers, nationals or foreigners entering by air, land or sea must show a negative Covid-19 test performed 48 hours before their arrival to the country and then they will have to take another one again, whose cost of 70 USD, will be paid by the passenger.

Travelers must keep a mandatory five-day quarantine at their home or hotel in Panama. If they test positive, they must immediately enter a hotel hospital for isolation and follow the treatment according to the protocols established in Panama by the health authority.

The new provision will not affect passengers who have connections in the Hub of the Americas under a single ticket/route.

If the connecting passenger makes the same connection with two different tickets that require migration in Panama, then he/she will have to comply with this new provision.

If the passenger comes from any destination other than South America and has not recently transited or stayed in that region, this new provision does not apply.

If you have any doubts or concerns, we recommend that you consult with your airline before traveling.

Executive Decree 260 will be effective as of March 31, at 12:01 am.
