In the midst of a season in which Avianca expects to mobilize more than 850,000 travelers on more than 6,500 flights, and when 60% of customers are expected to travel as of this Wednesday/Thursday, the company makes five recommendations to its customers to avoid contra time during Easter Week:

  1. Arrive at the airport 3 hours in advance for domestic and international flights.
  2. Check in advance the conditions of the purchased fares and the requirements to enter your country of destination.
  3. Fill out in advance the Check Mig form when leaving or entering Colombia.
  4. Make use of the Bio Mig automatic machines to carry out migratory processes in only 20 seconds (If not registered in Bio Mig, travelers may request a Migration official to register for future trips).
  5. Carry in hand luggage, for security reasons, items such as cell phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, portable external chargers (Power Banks) and any object containing lithium batteries.

Avianca starts three international routes from Cartagena.

Frederico Pedreira, Avianca’s Chief Operating Officer, assured that everyone’s co-responsibility will be fundamental for a smooth and efficient operation during these last days of Easter Week, when more customers plan to fly. “Achieving a successful end of the season is in everyone’s hands: airlines complying with regulations and their itineraries; aeronautical and immigration authorities with everything ready and working in a coordinated manner so that each process is agile; and customers consulting travel requirements in advance, buying in advance, arriving at the airport on time, and knowing both their rights and their duties”.

Avianca customers will be able to connect this Easter to more than 65 destinations in the Americas and Europe with an offer of 128 active routes, in the most complete network in Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America.
