Ryanair carried 15.9 million passengers in September, the third busiest month in its history and 13% more than before the pandemic, consolidating its position as Europe’s largest airline by passenger numbers.

Average occupancy per flight was 94% in September, up from 96% in August and 97% in September 2019.
Ryanair expects to carry 166.5 million passengers in the year to the end of March, significantly above its previous annual record of 149 million achieved before the pandemic.
