Delta earns $1.318 billion in 2022
Delta Air Lines earned 1.318 billion dollars during 2022, still far from the net profit it had before the pandemic, but its turnover exceeded pre-2020 levels for the first time as a result of the recovery in air demand.
The company billed $50.582 billion last year, up already from $47.007 billion in 2019, after overcoming 2 very bad years resulting from the health crisis.
In 2021 Delta had made a net profit of $280 million, while 2020 had been its worst year ever, with a loss of $12.385 million.

In 2019, before the pandemic, it had earned $4.767 billion, a figure it continued to fall far short of in 2022 amid higher costs.
In the last quarter of 2022, to which the markets were paying most attention on Friday, the airline had a net profit of $828 million, compared with significant losses a year ago, but 25% less than in the same period of 2019.
Looking ahead to 2023, the airline highlighted that the situation in the sector is “favorable” and that it expects its turnover to increase by 15-20% and to be able to offer significant profits.
