Avianca announced that as of July 1, the airline’s customers will have the option of flying in business class on the Bogota-Los Angeles route. This decision was made after listening to, analyzing and addressing customer suggestions to improve their travel experience on the longest route the airline operates in the Americas.

With this change, passengers flying between these destinations will be able to choose the size that best suits their needs from five options: XS, S, M and L in economy fare and XXL in executive fare to fly on Boeing 787 aircraft that have 28 seats in executive cabin and 222 in economy.

The airline currently operates the route on a Wamos Air Air Airbus A330-200, which does not have Business Class.

“We know that going to Los Angeles is almost like going to Europe, it’s tremendous travel and we want our customers to enjoy more benefit. We listened to them, we made some internal adjustments and today we are implementing the option of flying in business cabin on a flight of almost 8 hours. We currently operate 1 daily flight between Bogota and Los Angeles and we see an important development of the route” said Manuel Ambriz, Avianca’s Chief Commercial Officer.
