Wingo inaugurated its new Medellín – Cartagena – Medellín route this Tuesday, reaffirming the airline’s interest in becoming a more relevant player in the Colombian domestic market and in recovering low-cost connectivity options from the capital of Antioquia.

The route will have four flights a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with promotional launch fares starting at COP 119,900. In total, the airline will make available to travelers about 6 thousand seats per month between both routes.

“This route represents great news for Medellín, as it means the return of low-cost flights to domestic beach destinations, such as Cartagena. Wingo remains committed to Medellín, a city where two of our aircraft are based and which represents more than 20% of our operations,” said Jorge Jiménez, Wingo’s Vice President of Commercial and Planning.

With the launch of this new route, Wingo now serves eight destinations from Medellin, where it offers direct flights to Panama, Cancun, Aruba, Havana, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and Bogota.
