Russia to build more than 600 passenger aircraft in six years
The Russian government has given the green light to the program to expand production of aircraft, engines and instruments, allowing the use of money from the National Wealth Fund to finance it, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, TASS news agency reported.
More than 600 passenger aircraft are expected to be built in Russia in six years, Mishustin said.

“Within the next six years totally more than 600 domestically-produced airliners are to be constructed,” he said at a meeting with his deputies. “Superjets and flagship MC-21s will comprise the backbone of the fleet of Russian airlines, with regional Il-114s and highly-reliable Tu-214s for medium-range flights, as well as wide-body aircraft such as Il-96-300, complementing this range,” the prime minister added.
