In order to offer more and more direct operations in the region, Avianca has requested authorization from the Colombian Civil Aeronautics Authority to operate the San Salvador-Panama City-Medellin route and vice versa.
According to the application, the airline plans to offer 14 weekly frequencies on this route, which will be operated on Airbus A319, A320 or A320neo aircraft.

Avianca currently operates more than 140 routes in 25 countries in the Americas and Europe.
