Thus, Innsbruck joins Iberia’s winter destination offer along with Salzburg, also in Austria, Tromso, in Norway and Rovaniemi, capital of Lapland and hometown -and official- of Santa Claus.
Innsbruck, a skiing paradise and more
Innsbruck, capital of the western Austrian state of Tyrol, is a city in the Alps, an exceptional destination for winter sports. The Winter Olympics were held here twice: 1964 and 1976.
Innsbruck is also known for its imperial and modern architecture. Its world-famous monuments bear witness to a great history and coexist with excellent international postmodernist architecture.
